I thought of giving you all a preview of what my current project. I am working on renovating….actually completely re-doing the Fleech Media branding. This includes the logo, the business cards, the letterheads, envelopes and most importantly the website.

The Logo

I used the three layer method in creating this logo. The first layer is a dark green shade stacked on top of the second layer which is pure white with 1% transparency. Both first and second layer is then topped on top of the third layer which is the same shade as the first. The little half circle on the left is a fading image of our planet with a dark green shade.

For those that are web enthusiast below is a small preview of what the site will look like. It will most likely be powered by WordPress. I know close to all of my staff team loves the new look. In a few days I will start coding this structure and expect to release it by the end of May.

The Design Inspiration

I got much of my inspiration for this new design from the cover art for a XBox 360 game I was playing titled “Dragon Age 2″ (see cover here). If you look carefully at the bottom of the wings (focus on the white spot to reveal the people), you will notice that those white spots are actually people. Since we have office in 3 cities with large buildings, I wanted to present a similar situation as the cover art but with buildings. I tried to show a broken effect along with presenting the cities we are located.

The colors were inspired by my hat…yes my hat. I quite liked the green color that it had and started playing around with the different shades of that color. Eventually I landed on a color that I really liked.
