Unfortunately I only noticed this warning today, too late for me. I placed my bid on an iPad2. I think ebay should be putting a notice up on their front page to warn people of this scam. I have been in touch with paypay and THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS 'OVERLOADING' your account. Also NEVER deal with the person via your personal email address when purchasing products through ebay. Always use your ebay account. Also, if they request that you send the money to some address, do an internet search on the address to find out more details about it. The postcode here is for a tiny town, in the middle of nowhere, north of Aberdeen in Scotland. It is hundreds of miles away from London. However, this particular scammer always seems to have the same pattern, as perfectly described aboved. But one thing is, he/she will ALWAYS use a different name, so ignore the name. In my case it was as follow:

NAME: Frank Dremos (the supposedly intermedite ebay agent)
ADDRESS: 61 Wenlock Terrace
         London AB42 4EN
         United Kingdom.

EMAIL(for my case): mazga099@gmail.com
SELLER(for my case): Sean Barrow

I had emailed this person on several occassions and even chatted with them on their 'Live Help' connection. It all seemed very genuine and I was able to contact the agent at any time I needed to. I have saved all the emails for further investigation.

As it all seemed professional, I emailed the imaginery seller with the details of my money transfer. Once payment had been received, they contacted me once more to say that they had made a mistake and instead of despatching 1 to me, they had accidently despatched 5 and proceeded to make an offer to me. I had to tell them that there was no way I could afford 5 iPad2's, even at a special offer. And ever since then, I have no heard from them, cannot contact them via email or their 'Live Help' option.

I hope these disgusting human beings can live with themselves and are happy in the knowledge knowing that they are living off other human beings well-earned money and have now destroyed Christmas for many of us.

Have you ever thought about including a little bit more than just your articles? I mean, what you say is fundamental and everything. But think of if you added some great pictures or videos to give your posts more, "pop"! Your content is excellent but with pics and clips, this blog could definitely be one of the best in its niche. Awesome blog!

Sadly a large number of people have fallen under the same trick. If you lost money you can file a fraud form and start an investigation. Since most of the requested transfers are to London, the person will fall under their law and terms. Also in the future know that off-shore bank transfers are bad idea and that anything that ebay does (ex. mail, support, etc) are on ebay.com domain. But also stay aware of the e-mails in today's world you can pretend to be anyone.
